Bolt on more power with an Egan Performance “straight shot” muffler to your Stihl 500 chainsaw for an immediate increase in power and throttle response and a reduction of engine temperatures. 

This straight shot now includes an integrated and welded deflector extension.  

We do still offer the optional add-on Straight Shot Deflector Extension for the prior version of this straight shot.  Please see the product description for additional information.

Made in the USA from 10 gauge 304 stainless steel, with USFS approved spark arrestor.

Upon installation, this saw will tune itself.

The sound of happiness!

So I recently bought the updated straight shot exhaust from EPS! As soon as I opened the package and felt the heavy-duty stainless steel and weight of it. I knew this was a high quality part. I installed it on my MS500i within minutes and had to hear it. As expected the sound was amazing. The best sounding chainsaw I have ever ran by far. It is a bit loud but in my opinion not too loud. The sound of the saw at idle is pure happiness. Sounds compare to a 250 dirt bike sound. In full cut it definitely screams like a massive hillclimb. Performance wise. It paired with the maxflow air filter on my saw is all the power you could ask for in a saw. Great product. Wish I would have bought it sooner!

Mean sound! I went flat black!

What a beautiful sight is the 500i with EPS straight shot and felling dogs in flat black! Mean looking saw that rips :D EPS products are at the top of the chain!
